Children and Babies
A small play area is provided for children. Parents are asked to be mindful that children must be supervised and and if possible quiet for the comfort of others at all times. Consideration must be given to those patients in the reception area who are unwell or elderly.
Victoria District Medical Centre has detailed, specific policies and procedures for emergencies. You may be instructed by a member of staff, if necessary, to evacuate the building. Your immediate attention is expected at all times. Your safety and well being is paramount so please follow all instructions given for the following emergencies:
The Practice building and rooms are fully wheelchair accessible, not requiring ramps for access. We have fully functional disabled toilet available. There is a wheelchair available for use to and from your vehicle.
A change table and other facilities for parents with babies are also available on request.
Patient feedback is strongly encouraged as the Practice strives for continual improvement in all areas. We welcome discussion and conversation with any of our staff. If you wish to provide feedback or make a complaint in writing, please see our Practice Manager who will assist you further. You are also welcome to discuss any feedback with your doctor or a staff member and if necessary we will arrange for this to be done in a private area. A patient feedback form and box is available in the waiting room near the television for your convenience.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may make a notification to:
Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
about the conduct, health or performance of a practitioner or the health of a student. Practitioners, employers and education providers are all mandated by law to report notifiable conduct relating to a registered practitioner or student to AHPRA.
